Keep in mind, I have less than 8 days to determine problem - if it is a component issue. What seems to be the best driver for 980 TI at the current time? What can I do further to test components vs drivers?ĥ. At what point do I suspect GPU and/or CPU?ģ. Does this sound like a hardware or software issue?Ģ. **Everytime the nvidia auto-detect gets to about 60-80% and windows 10 newest upgrade gets to about 60% white lines fill up the monitor and it crashes for about 20 seconds but doesnt turn off, once the screen returns to normal the nvidia program says drivers are up to date but vga drivers are unchanged and windows 10 says "reverting back to last version of windows"ġ. Exchanged monitor but will not be delivered until 29th - Only have until end of month to return/exchange GPU and/or CPU Noticed monitor's HDMI connector was split on one side - questioned hdmi wires, unfortunately, new wires were used before noticing: possible cable issue not tested Drivers deleted using DDU, reinstalled from CD: DID NOT FIX Alternate monitor used - vendor.dll fail (vga drivers)/ tweak II fail - blue dots fixed for about 30 seconds then resumed: DID NOT FIX Drivers deleted using DDU, reinstalled - both manually and using nvidia's auto detect: DID NOT FIX Other than dots, resolution seems fine, still full detail in desktop background. Ran ASUS 5 way optimization only got CPU to 4.2MHZ?!?! Expected LOTS more.especially with rest of build. Videos run fine until full screen, then blue dots affect it, there are no abnormal sounds coming from case/components. Repeated vendor.dll fail (vga drivers)/ tweak II fail. SSD's: 400GB Intel 750 Series & 960GB OCZ 150ġst Night: Build complete, posted, UEFI updated, only change made to UEFI was RAM to XMP, OS installed + mobo and GPU driversĢnd Night: Rest of drivers DL'd EXCEPT Windows (windows was not updated), Overclocked manually through UEFI using youtube video (questionable choice in retrospect) - Warning of OC crash before going to bed, UEFI reset, system restarted - Seemed to run just fine.ģrd Night: System turned on.Blue dots continuously rotating through screen but only affects dark pixels. ![]()
